allthiscanbeyours is right. we are programmed to hate america. i was pleasantly surprised that you guys were not all obese gas-guzzling hicks who said “y’all” every other word.
now if only all americans knew that 99.9% of canada does not live in an igloo, ride a dogsled team to work, survive solely off caribou meat or actually think a toque and snowsuit is a fashion...
what the hell did i do this year?
i’ve tried to remember most significant things - it looks like i got in a car, bus or plane a lot.
i turned 25. oh my. when i was younger, i always thought you were either younger than 25, or older and had everything figured out. yep, that means i’m now older, but definitely don’t have everything figured out. so does that i pick a new divider age? 30?
i got a new job. along...
this everlasting headache will be the death of me. moving from a damp climate to a dry climate has given me: two inner ear infections, sneezing from recirculated office air and subway system, and neverending headaches from the dry heat pumped into my work and home. forget dehumidifier, i need a humidifier! i can’t keep up my water intake with how quickly the air dries me out.
oh well, i bet...
not awesome.
trying to use your laptop while someone else messes around with appletv and remote control. my volume keeps going up and down and picture slideshows want to start. disable remote!!!
hours of rockband, breakfasts at home with the brother and parents, episodes of project runway australia on youtube, chipotle burrito, at least an hour of international online flight searches, warm 10 degree weather today and tomorrow, seven pounds the movie (pretty great), not really asking for anything for xmas but getting great things = the past three days. i’ve still got a visit with one...
third or fourth time watching love actually this holiday. i can’t help it!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE , EVERYONE!
and a good day tomorrow. all i can think about is melted brie with cranberries on a thin cracker, one of the many appies at my aunt’s tonight. mmmmm! xo to you all!
i either need a whole bunch of allergy testing, or to live off cold fx for the rest of the winter. i can’t get rid of this cold! a new headache and a stuffy nose showed up this morning.
i’m not a student (it’s ok for this) and not american (no rules, but they’re a global company so i’m sure they’ll accept me?) but i’m applying for this, STA’s 2009 World Traveler Intern. i have to make a video and upload to youtube (holiday project), and because i am scared shitless to do that, i will be depending on my lovely fellow tumblrs to view and...
I felt like I was a character in a Margaret Atwood novel, young and Canadian.

There’s nothing scary about choice. Scary is when you don’t have choice.

AWESOME.
i just spent an hour stuck on the subway underground because of signal problems and a fire between lawrence and eglinton. i am one of 8 people in the office. it’s like a snow hurricane outside.
15 CMs OF NEW SNOW!
it’s actually quite insulating and warm. i like how it muffles the street sounds.
so, i am going away in a week or so and i’m starting to really dislike tripadvisor. everyone has such different opinions on service, cleanliness and food (never listen to the brits on food at resorts), it’s hard to really get a good (or bad) idea of a place unless every single review is shining or shitty. i went back and looked at the reviews of the hotels i was at while away in...
