i'm kerri. i live in toronto, ontario.
that's canada. i work in marketing, love hugs, carbs,
and cobalt blue. i devour pretzels, make sexy foam lattes, and Love typography with a capital L. i'm never satisfied, so that explains my spur of the moment plans to travel, see new things and visit old friends. i need a teleporter.
i like travel. A LOT.
i secretly wish i were scandinavian. i also want to speak more than one language - i'm going to work on that. bonjour!

Hard to believe we heard this every morning throughout elementary and high school. Other than the odd sporting event, I rarely hear the Canadian national anthem anymore.
via frenchelon:
O Canada
Ô Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l’épée,
Il sait porter la croix!
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
my final canadiana for the evening…
I think I only know the bilingual and French versions of the anthem by heart, the English words always escape me.
my final canadiana for the evening…
heard this every morning throughout elementary
for all of you who have never heard it.
